I logged back into Lego Fortnite Odyssey on a lazy afternoon in 2026, expecting to spend half my session just trekking from the Grasslands to Dry Valley. Instead, I found myself staring up at a glowing blue beacon pulsing above a brand-new structure. A Battle Bus Station had materialized near my village, and honestly, it felt like the game had finally heard my silent complaints about endless walking. No more twenty-minute hikes. No more panicked runs from wolves while carrying a full inventory. The world had changed.

I decided right then to complete every Battle Bus quest in one sitting. It was not just about the XP or the in-game rewards; I wanted to understand how this fast travel network worked. So I grabbed my glider, checked my tools, and set off on a journey that turned into one of my favorite sessions in the game.

The first task was simple: interact with a Battle Bus Station. As I approached, the blue light at the top began to pulse faster, almost like a heartbeat. I walked up to the station, pressed the interact button, and watched the terminal light up. A map appeared, showing nearby stops and special destinations. The moment the interface opened, a quest completion notification popped up: 2K XP. Easy. But I was just getting started.

Next, I had to take a Battle Bus to any Special stop. The station offered only one special destination in the beginning, located near the Rebel Base. I selected it, and the Battle Bus roared overhead. It lowered a platform, pulled me up, and suddenly I was flying across the Lego landscape. The view from the bus was incredible. I could see the biome changes below, from green grasslands to dry desert and then snowy peaks. When the bus reached the drop zone, I jumped.

The third quest required me to travel 300 meters after exiting the Battle Bus. I remembered how this worked in Battle Royale, but experiencing it in Lego form was different. I free-fell for a moment, then my glider deployed automatically. I steered toward open ground, letting the wind carry me. The game measured my distance as I glided. It did not take long to hit 300 meters, but I stayed in the air longer just to enjoy the freedom. Another 2K XP popped up, and I felt like a proper explorer.

Then came the fun one: jump out of the Battle Bus and land in a Lake. I had to find a body of water near my exit point. On my first attempt, I aimed for a small pond but overshot it and landed on dry grass. No splash, no quest. I called the Battle Bus again and this time watched the terrain carefully. There was a decent-sized lake east of my drop point. I jumped, angled my glider downward, and hit the water with a satisfying splash. The game rewarded me with 2K XP and a little visual effect. It was easily the most satisfying quest of the set.

The fifth quest was a bit sneaky: board the Battle Bus within 60 seconds of landing from a Battle Bus. I landed near the Rebel Base, realized I had selected the wrong stop, and immediately turned around. The station was still there, and the Battle Bus arrived quickly after I called it. I boarded again within the time limit. The quest completed, and I could not help but laugh. Whoever designed this quest knew exactly how players travel.

Finally, there was the big one: build a Battle Bus Station. This required preparation. I had to destroy other Battle Bus stations using at least an Uncommon Pickaxe to collect Rift Shards. I visited a nearby station, swapped to my Uncommon Pickaxe, and started breaking it down. The shards dropped, and as soon as I picked them up, I received the building recipe. The materials needed were:

  • 4 x Metal Bar

  • 2 x Granite Slab

  • 6 x Planks

  • 3 x Rift Shard

I already had metal bars and granite slabs in my storage, but I needed more planks. I chopped down a few trees, processed the wood at my lumber mill, and gathered the remaining Rift Shards. Then I opened the build menu and placed a brand-new Battle Bus Station right outside my main village. Seeing that blue beacon light up from my own construction was a proud moment.

Here is the full list of the six Battle Bus quests and how I completed them:

Quest How To Complete XP
Interact with a Battle Bus Station Walk up to a station and start a fast travel trip 2K
Take a Battle Bus to any Special stop Travel to the special stop near the Rebel Base 2K
Travel 300 meters after exiting the Battle Bus Glide at least 300 meters after jumping out 2K
Jump out of the Battle Bus and land in a Lake Aim for a lake during the free-fall and land in water 2K
Board the Battle Bus within 60 seconds of landing Call the Battle Bus again immediately after landing 2K
Build a Battle Bus Station Destroy stations for Rift Shards and build a new one 2K

All six quests gave me a total of 12K XP, plus the satisfaction of mastering the fast travel system. Since the Storm Chasers Update, the Battle Bus network has only gotten more useful. I no longer dread crossing the map, and I have even built extra stations near resource-rich areas. My only regret is not trying this sooner. If you are still walking everywhere in Lego Fortnite Odyssey, do yourself a favor and complete these quests. The blue light is calling, and the Battle Bus is ready.
